Companies to Watch Award

"Richmond's Companies to Watch"
As
impressive as the many new technological advances are, though, local
business owner Bill Lecznar argues that retailers still aren't
taking advantage of them as much as they could. “Retail is
traditionally a low profit margin business. They have to be
efficient. And technology can enhance their efficiency.”
After spending 28 years in retail, Lecznar created the
Richmond-based Synergy Systems two and a half years ago to
streamline communications for retailers and retail workers in the
key areas of labor recruiting, temp staffing, outsourced
merchandising and scheduling. The company's services take two forms.
Synergy Systems, Inc, the parent company, and RLSWORX handles the
people side.
“We utilize synergies,” Lecznar said. “Traditionally, a company
looking for a temporary worker would use a temp agency. We allow the
company to enter information one time and pay one time. It's much
quicker and more efficient. It allows the company to pay a small
portion of what it would normally pay more for.”
The result: small businesses can now use a service they might not
otherwise be able to afford.
“We're 100 percent Web-based,” Lecznar said. “Jobs are posted on our
Web site-and we recruit a database of people. They enter criteria,
and it populates a list of qualified people. It streamlines the
application process.”
The company advertises through Google to give its clients maximum
exposure, and they also partner with Richmond.com. Currently, RLSWORX is available in Virginia and North Carolina, and the company is
in the process of expanding itself nationally.
Synergy Systems, Inc. was chosen along with 11 other companies
over hundreds of evaluated businesses based in and around the
central Virginia area.
